Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the age of 76 years. Much loved husband and best friend of Linda (nee Belanger) for over 55 years. Loving dad of Tracy Bruce (Allan) and Laura Kenopic (Richard). Proud and devoted Poppa of Molly and Maiya Bruce and Elizabeth, Ethan and Holly Kenopic.

Dear brother of Madge Twolan (Jack) and Claire Rouble (Jack Kinney). Brother-in-law of Glen Belanger, Lorraine Belanger and Eric Brown. Predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Muriel Knight, brothers Ozzy Smith (late Judy), Jerry, and Robert (Happy), brother-in-law Barry Belanger and sister-in-law Gail Brown. He will be sadly missed by his arm-chair buddy Reggie, many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Cecil was employed with Ontario Hydro for over 32 years starting in Nanticoke and finishing in Arnprior. He was well-known and respected in the antique and auction community for over 50 years and was the owner of Cec Knight Auctions of Burnstown. Cecil was a lifelong member of Ontario Fur Managers Federation and a member of Stones Meadow Hunt Camp in Calabogie.

Cecil’s family will receive friends at the Renfrew Visitor Information Centre, 190 Mask Road, on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 2 – 4 pm. A private Graveside Service will take place at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Renfrew, at a later date. Donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute or Renfrew Victoria Hospital would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Pinnacle Cremation Services, 32 Prince Avenue E., Renfrew.
